Session

In September 2023, we will open classes in Years 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7. Every September thereafter, we will open the next Year Group until we reach Year 11.

Classes will be made up of between 15 and 19 boys and girls.

This size is small enough to give children personalised attention from the teacher but large enough to create effective group dynamics. It also means that a wide range of opinions and experiences can be brought into discussions and the development of genuine respect and understanding across cultures.

September 2024

Year 8 will open. All those who successfdivly complete Year 7 in TGBS will have a guaranteed place before any external applicants will be considered.

September 2025

Year 9 will open, with the same guarantee to our own Year 8 students.

September 2026

Year 10 will open, with the same guarantee to our own Year 9 students.

September 2027

Year 11 will open, with the same guarantee to our own Year 10 students

In May 2026, we will confirm how the Sixth Form classes will be organised from 2028 onwards.

There will be a maximum of 19 children in each class.
We are a co-educational school, and so places are equally open to boys and girls.
Students stay in the same class for the full Academic Year and will have different specialist teachers for each subject. Each class will also have a Mentor who will take oversight of how each child is progressing across all subjects, and will be the first person whom parents should contact if they have any concerns about their child.
Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 will follow the Cambridge Primary Curriculum which will be enhanced by a number of other first-class educational resources. These Primary classes are to be known collectively as Image

Year 7 will follow Cambridge Lower Secondary Curriculum, which leads through to the IGCSE qualifications available in Years 9, 10 and 11.

All of the children in each class will be evenly divided across the four school Houses
We are happy to discuss with parents the class allocations for any siblings in the same Year Group (eg twins). We are open to such children staying in the same class or being allocated to different classes, according to the wishes of the parents.
